Kompster has adopted the following Privacy Policy to explain what personal information is collected and how Kompster uses this information. Kompster may change this Privacy Policy from time to time without notice. Please visit this page often for updates and changes.

Collected Information

1. User Profile

Your personal information is collected by Kompster when you voluntarily supply it during the Web Site registration process to create a User Profile. A User Profile is required for those users who wish to post competitions, comments or other content to the Web Site. Otherwise, registration is purely optional.

If you opt to create a User Profile with Kompster, you are asked to supply:

• A username
• Password
• Email address

You may also voluntarily provide the following additional information:

• Your City, State and Country of residence
• A link to your personal web page
• Your Facebook® and/or Twitter® Username
• Biographical information, such as your interests, hobbies, etc.

2. Email Contact

If you contact Kompster via email, your email address may be retained solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

3. Premium Features

Kompster may offer some features that are only available if you pay a fee for the services (“Premium Features”). For instance, Premium Features may include the ability to create private event pages or to have your competition or event listing is posted in a prominent location on the Kompster site. Should you voluntarily elect to purchase a Premium Feature, your personal and financial information is processed by a third party vendor, such as PayPal. Kompster does not collect or store any financial information from its users. Kompster strongly encourages you to review the privacy policy of all entities prior to disclosing your personal information, including any financial information.

4. Posting to Kompster

If you post information concerning a competition or event or submit comments to Kompster’s forum or in response to another user’s post, such information will be viewable to other users of the Web Site. Kompster is not responsible for the privacy of any information you choose to post to the Web Site nor is Kompster responsible for the accuracy of the information in your posts. Any information you post to the Web Site becomes public, non-confidential information. Once posted, Kompster cannot prevent and is not responsible for the use of that information by third parties.

As one of Kompster’s Premium Features, you can create a private event page. By doing so, your event page will not be listed in the public directory. Rather, users can only access your event page if they have the specific link for the page.

5. Advertisers

You may elect to purchase advertising space on the Kompster web site. To do so, please contact http://kompster.com/advertise Similar to Premium Features, should you voluntarily elect to purchase ad space on the Web Site, your personal and financial information is processed by a third party vendor, such as PayPal. Kompster does not collect or store any financial information from its users. Kompster strongly encourages you to review the privacy policy of all entities prior to disclosing your personal information, including any financial information.

6. Non-Personal Information
Kompster may collect non-personal information on an aggregated basis to make the Web Site more useful to you and to do such things as operate and enhance the Web Site. For example, Kompster may collect cookies (namely, small pieces of information that a web site sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a website), your IP address (a string of numbers that identifies each sender or receiver of information sent across the Internet), and other metadata when you visit the Web Site.

Kompster uses both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on the Website. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can disable this function by changing the cookie profile on your computer’s web browser. If you disable or delete your cookies, however, you may not have access to certain features of the Web Site. Kompster does not store any Personal Data in cookies on your computer other than the cookie itself.

How Your Information is Used
At the present time, Kompster does not share your personal information with any third parties except as indicated herein.

If you voluntarily create a User Profile, it will be publicly shared with other visitors to the Kompster web site.

Based on your User Profile, your favorites (if any) and your browsing history, Kompster may notify you via email of other events may be of interest to you. Should you wish to opt out of these emails or adjust the frequency of Kompster notifications, simply follow the procedures noted at the bottom of Kompster’s email notifications.

If you choose to sign in to the Kompster service through your Facebook® or Twitter® account, Kompster may pull information from those accounts (e.g., your friends or contacts). The information Kompster can access on those social media depends on your account settings with the social media site and/or the sites’ privacy policies. Please check both your social media account settings and the site’s privacy policy so you are aware of the information Kompster can access.

If you elect to register or purchase tickets for events and/or competitions posted on the Web Site, all transactions are handled via the third parties advertising the event/competition. Kompster strongly suggests that you familiarize yourself with the terms and privacy policies of all vendors prior to purchasing their services or products.

Kompster also will disclose your information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court appointed receiver, or other comparable legal process, including subpoenas from private parties in a civil action.

Deactivating Your Account
You may deactivate your account at any time. Some of your account information may remain in backup copies and logs. However, once deactivated, your information is no longer publicly posted unless you decide to reactivate your account.

California residents may be entitled to the following information upon request:

(1) the types of personal information that Kompster shares with third parties for the third parties’ marketing purposes, and

(2) the identities of the third parties with whom Kompster has shared this information during the immediately preceding calendar year.

Minors
This web site is only for persons able to form legally binding contracts under applicable law. Without limiting the foregoing, minors, meaning those individuals under 13 years of age, are not eligible to use the Web Site. Kompster does not seek to or knowingly collect personal information from or about minors through its website, and it asks that minors not submit any personal information to Kompster.
