As winter lingers on there are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors. Each year in Anchorage Alaska at the Alaska Fur Rendezvous or Fur Rondy, crowds gather to celebrate winter in a 10 day long winter festival. 2014 marked the 79th year of the festival and it is filled with great competitions.

Unfortunately due to a lack of signups the Yukigassen Competition was cancelled. For those that don’t know, Yukigassen is a team event that is a hybrid of capture the flag, paint ball and good ol’ fashioned snowball fight, originating in Japan.
