37th Annual Elgin Valley Fox Trot

The Elgin Valley Fox Trot is celebrating its 37th year! This event offers races for all levels of competition, including a 10 mile run, a 5k run and a 2 mile Walk for a Cause. The race is endorsed by the Chicago Runners Association (CARA) and is on the 2014 CARA circuit.

Cash Prizes and Awards

Weather permitting, the awards ceremony will be outside with a post party. Trophies will be presented to the top three finishers in each age division, and the top overall male and female finishers.

Award divisions for the 10 mile and 5k races will be as follows: age 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-59, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over, male and female.

In addition to a trophy, the overall top three male and female winners in the 5k and 10 mile will receive a cash prize. All cash prizes will be mailed out within 90 days of the final race results following the winner completing the cash prize paperwork. Please see below for the breakouts:

CARA’s Runners Choice Circuit

This race was selected to be part of CARA’s 2014 competitive circuit of races, named the RUNNERS’ CHOICE CIRCUIT.  CARA members can compete on this Circuit for year-end Overall, Age Group, Clydesdale/Athena (weight) and Club awards.This race is a CARA CERTIFIED RACE.  It has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines.  These Guidelines embody the highest standards for quality, safety and comfort for participants in a road race.
