Harwich 5K Road Race -Celebrate the Beginning of Summer on Cape Cod!
To get, kids, families and friends outdoors running or walking to enjoy the Cape and stay fit!!
Run or Walk-Everyone Welcome and encouraged to particpate.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and attendees we are able to donate proceeds from the race to the Harwich Public Schools various fitness programs, The Harwich Community Center Youth Fitness Programs and to the Harwich Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund. We are happy to continue our mission to help keep our kids moving and fit.
All proceeds will go towards Youth Fitness Related Programs for the town of Harwich. Harwich Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation is a non-profit 501 c3 charitable organization whose mission continues to be in the raising and providing funds for many programs in Harwich. Financial Sponsorship participations are from as little to $100 up to $1,000.
Your sponsorship will provide high visibility advertising and promotion of your business before, during, and after the race event among runners, walkers and their families and friends – all great prospects for your products and services! To generate maximum awareness and drive registrations and spectators, we are heavily promoting this race via local print and radio media, New England running clubs and running web sites, email campaigns, face book, and through our local schools, and community organizations.
This race is certified by US Track and Field and will start and finish at the School House/Harwich Chamber of Commerce in downtown Harwich Port with a fun celebration party and award ceremony at Ember Coal Fired Pizza and Wings.
The Harwich 5K Road Race is a commitment from our town to keep our kids moving! All age groups are welcome to participate– to walk or run and enjoy the course.
The race has been certified by the USTF.

Please Read Waiver Before Signing Up for Race:
In consideration of acceptance of my entry the undersigned hereby, for myself, my heirs, successors, assigns, executors, and administrators hereby waive and release all claims for damages for injuries or any other loss which may arise or result from my participation in the Harwich 5K Road Race (the “Event”) against the following entities and parties: Harwich Charitable Foundation, Event sponsors, Event charitable beneficiaries, Event volunteers, including with respect to each of the foregoing their representatives, successors, agents, employees, servants, directors, and officers (collectively the “Released Parties” ) including such injuries caused by the negligence, gross negligence, or other fault of the Released Parties or any one of them. I understand that participation in road race events is an inherently dangerous activity with a risk of serious injury or death. I represent that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to safely participate in and complete this Event as a foot race entrant, and that a licensed physician has verified my fitness for this Event. I hereby authorize the Released Parties to use my likeness in photographs, motion pictures, video or digital recordings, or any other form of video or audio recording for the purpose of reporting or promoting this or similar events
